The announcement was made at the company’s recent investor call, where it also shared that the Cybercab and semi-trailer truck are inching towards production. Tesla also confirmed the return of the sentimental Roadster, which is (still) in its design development stage. It was previously reported that Tesla was preparing a new model with a friendlier price, most probably to compete against new EVs from China. Elon Musk cleared the air that its new competitor would essentially be a simpler Model Y.
