State officials have confirmed the identity of a man killed after his Tesla crashed and caught fire.
Joshua K. Leblanc, 29, of Huntsville was fatally injured when the 2021 Tesla Model 3 he was driving left the roadway, struck a guardrail, several trees and then caught fire, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
It happened about 2:45 p.m. July 22 on Hill Road near Drummond Switch Cut Off Road, about two miles south of Empire, in Walker County.
Leblancâs body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, where his identity was later confirmed.
