Nov. 21 (UPI) --
SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit late Thursday, the 100th orbital rocket launch of the year for Florida's east coast.
The rocket launched at 10:39 p.m. EST from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
The first-stage booster, on its 23rd flight, separated from the rocket and returned to Earth, where it landed on the Just Read the Instructions droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean about 8 minutes, 25 seconds into the launch.
The mission was to deploy 29 more Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, where they will join a constellation of thousands of orbiters that provide high-speed, low-latency Internet across the globe.
There are two more Starlink missions scheduled this month, one from Florida on Saturday and the other from California on Sunday
