Nov. 23 (UPI) --
SpaceX launched another 28 satellites into low-Earth orbit early Sunday morning, with the possibility that residents of southern California were awakened by the sonic boom in the middle of the night.
"There was a possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may have heard one or more sonic booms during the launch," SpaceX said in a statement. "What residents experienced depended on weather and other conditions."
SpaceX said it launched the satellites from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California around 12:48 a.m. PT.
