As 2026 begins, Elon Musk has sparked global discussion by hinting at higher monetisation payouts for creators on X, signaling a possible shift in how the platform rewards original digital content. His remarks have drawn strong attention from writers, artists, and independent creators who rely on platform-based income.
Although no formal policy update has been announced yet, Musk suggested that increased payouts could be introduced alongside strict controls to prevent misuse, manipulation, and artificial engagement on the platform.
