The M2 has been closed in both directions following an early morning collision involving a Tesla and a Yamaha motorcycle.
At around 6.30am, the crash happened between Junction 4, Gillingham, and Junction 5 near Sittingbourne, close to Medway Services.
A major emergency response and the full closure of the motorway followed.
Due to the severity of the incident, Kent Police confirmed that, by 7.30am, the eastbound carriageway was also shut.
As officers created a large forensic cordon across the motorway, traffic was brought to a complete standstill in both directions.
