The final episode of The Boys arrived on May 20, with the finale being screened in 4DX cinemas the night before. The fifth and final season as a whole drew 57million viewers per episode on average, a record for Amazonâs Prime Video service (via THR).

Kripke has hit back at fans who have been critical of the seasonâs lack of action. âNone of the things that happen in the last few episodes will matter if you donât flesh out the characters. Iâm getting a lot of online dissatisfaction, to put it politely,â he said. âAnd Iâm like, âWhat are you expecting? Are you expecting a huge battle scene every episode?ââ
Despite The Boysâ success, the spin-off show Gen V was cancelled last month after just two seasons. Details on why the series was cancelled are still scarce, however comments from cast members promise more details in the future.
