(WTVY) - The Enterprise Police Department arrested a Fort Novosel soldier for raping a child last week, according to a release from the department. Warrant Officer-1 Juan Salvador Guillen-Mondragon, 36, was arrested after officials conducted an investigation following allegations Mondragon had sexual contact with a minor. According to Army officials, Mondragon is a flight student from the California National Guard assigned to B Company in the 1-145th Aviation Regiment at Fort Novosel. Enterprise Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Ft. Novosel Army CID conducted a joint investigation into the allegations. Mondragon was arrested on Friday, August 30, and charged with Facilitating the Travel of a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act, as well as Rape 2nd. Mondragon was taken to the Coffee County Jail upon his arrest. Enterprise Police Chief Billy Haglund confirmed Mondragon is in the military.
