Bashing Teslas isn't new at this point, but quite the opposite. You can find entire Reddit threads dedicated to the topic. Some are funny, while others are unabashedly mean for mean's sake. When the Cybetruck first appeared in Fortnite, players at odds with one another declared a temporary truce on the battlefield, only to team up and eliminate anyone driving the Tesla pickup in-game. Now, dealerships are joining in on the fun.
"Why get a Cybertruck when you can get a Sequoia" is the title of a recent video from Toyota of Hattiesburg's TikTok account. It's a spoof on someone else's video about the Tesla Cybertruck, but it's made in such good taste that you can't help but laugh at the fine silent slapstick-like comedy. It's reminiscent of Khabane Lame, otherwise known as khaby00, or "the guy who points out the obvious."
The short video starts with a woman praising the Cybertruck as "the perfect mom and family car" because, firstly, you can store a baby carriage in the spacious cargo bed or "back trunk," as she called it.
Then she goes on about how the doors open at 90 degrees so it's easy to get the kids in, or that you have a generous amount of legroom in the rear seat area. Other nifty "mom features" include space for a bag or a diaper bag where a typical gear shifter would be. More examples follow, but there's no point listing everything here.
The catch is that every "suburban mom" scene cuts straight to a lovely woman from the Toyota of Hattiesburg dealership in Mississippi who effortlessly does the same things but in a Sequoia
SUV
