I don’t want to bother y’all with yet another Tesla Cybertruck story. But this one is different, instead of glorifying celebrity owners or reporting some type of wild failure. This is about how the tide is turning. People want to cancel their orders without losing the $1,000 deposit.

While the Tesla Cybertruck celebrated being a popular electric vehicle, people are starting to realize that it’s not the best vehicle to invest in.
Multiple celebrities have added to the hype and every day that’s a new meme or video that shows how the truck stopped working or how pieces fell off.
People aren’t so blinded by the reflective steel body anymore and they want out. Drivers with a Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series order have started a petition to get out of their agreements.
They want to cancel their orders or switch to a more affordable model without losing their nonrefundable $1,000 deposit. Lower trim levels have a $250 refundable deposit.
A YouTuber named Dennis CW. He has come across people with pending Cybertruck orders that must accept delivery or lose their $1,000 deposit. They have a few days to consider their limited options before having to make a decision.

Also, if you delay your delivery then Tesla puts you on hold for a while. Some people are fighting back by putting their Foundation Series orders on hold until more affordable trim levels arrive.
But with all the false promises Elon Musk has provided, who knows if more versions will ever come to market?
Unfortunately, putting your truck on hold is only a temporary solution. Tesla has been issuing warnings to people who have paused their orders for too long. Eventually, Tesla cancels the order and keeps the $1,000.
Some rumors suggest that a $79,900 model will be released soon. Also, the people who made these orders agreed to the contract and knowingly put their $1,000 out there.
It’s up to Tesla to decide to uphold the punishment for canceling Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series orders.
