This year’s 39th Falcon 9 rocket launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base could kick off the week.
The two-stage rocket, built by SpaceX, packed with 20 Starlink satellites will target a departure at 9:47 p.m. Sunday with backup opportunities until 1:46 a.m. Monday.
If needed, additional opportunities are also available starting at 11:19 p.m. Monday.
After lifting off and completing its flight, the first-stage booster will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
This will be the 20th flight for the first-stage booster, which previously delivered satellites for multiple other customers.
Last month marked the fourth anniversary of SpaceX turning on the Starlink service for the first paying customer.
Deployment of the satellites will occur one hour after the rocket’s liftoff.
