The SpaceX Falcon 9 launch of the OneWeb Launch 20 mission to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E has been rescheduled to no earlier than October 1st.
SpaceX has announced a scheduled launch for the OneWeb Launch 20 mission to low-Earth orbit. The mission is set to take off from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base on Sunday, September 29, with the launch window opening at 11:54 p.m.
This mission will see the Falcon 9’s first stage booster return to land on SpaceX’s Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenberg Space Force Base approximately eight minutes post-liftoff. A backup launch opportunity is slated for Monday, September 30, at 11:49 p.m., should it be necessary.
Residents in the surrounding counties of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura are alerted to the potential of hearing one or more sonic booms as the booster returns to land. The intensity of the sonic boom experience may vary based on weather conditions and other environmental factors at the time of the landing.
SpaceX will host a live webcast of the launch approximately 10 minutes before Falcon 9 lifts off. Space exploration enthusiasts and interested viewers can tune in to spacex.com/launches to witness the event live.
