Vandenberg Guardians and Airmen are gearing up to support the upcoming launch of SpaceX Falcon 9, which will carry Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. The launch is scheduled to take place from Space Launch Complex 4 East during the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 15.
The anticipated launch window is set to open precisely at 1:03 a.m. PT, marking a critical moment for the deployment of Starlink’s satellite constellation aimed at providing high-speed internet across the globe. This launch is part of SpaceX’s plan to enhance connectivity, even in the most remote and underserved regions.
The Falcon 9’s first stage will separate following liftoff and embark on a precision landing on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship. The droneship will be stationed strategically in the Pacific Ocean, ready to catch the returning stage.
It’s important to note that all launch dates and times are provisional and may be adjusted to adhere to mission requirements.
SpaceX is set to provide a live webcast of the mission, giving space enthusiasts a front-row seat to this technological spectacle. The broadcast is scheduled to begin approximately five minutes prior to liftoff, available for viewing on X @SpaceX. For an enhanced viewing experience, the webcast will also be streamed on the new X TV app, catering to the digital audience’s growing demand for accessible space-related content.
