SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner is urging voters to “know before you go” and confirm their precinct number and polling location before heading out to vote on November 5.
“As I have been sharing for the last few weeks, a handful of Election Day polling locations were moved following the recent hurricanes,” Turner said. “We mailed approximately 25,000 polling place change notices to affected voters, but it’s always a good idea to check your precinct and polling location before going to vote on Election Day.”
Election Day Polling Place Changes:
Precincts 203, 211 and 213
Temporarily relocated to: 3224 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota 34239
In addition to polling location changes due to hurricane damage, Turner reminds voters that in 2023 the elections office increased the number of precincts in Sarasota County to 103 and added nine new polling locations.
“Even without hurricanes Helene and Milton, many voters will be voting at new polling locations on November 5 because of our reprecincting project,” Turner said. “We sent notices to affected voters at the time, but I get it, people are busy and may have forgotten. That’s why it’s critical that they confirm their precinct and polling location in advance.”
Turner says voters may visit SarasotaVotes.gov and use the Find My Precinct tool to confirm their precinct and polling location.
