The law enforcement officials spoke to the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation.Livelsberger was a Norwich University graduate who completed an online degree in strategic studies and defense analysis in 2019, according to a spokesperson for the Vermont university.The spokesperson confirmed to WCVB-TV sister station WPTZ -TV that Livelsberger was a student at the school."Our hearts go out to those impacted. We do not have additional details about the incident at this time, and we have not been contacted by law enforcement," the statement read in part.Three U.S. officials said Livelsberger was an active-duty Army member who spent time at the base formerly known as Fort Bragg, a massive Army base in North Carolina that is home to Army special forces command.
