In a release, company officials said the launch sent a communications satellite into orbit from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on behalf of the UAE-based company Yahsat. Recommended Videos According to Yahsat’s website, the satellite — dubbed “Thuraya 4″ — is actually the sixth that the company has sent into orbit, symbolizing “the nation’s relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation in spacetech.” Liftoff happened at 8:27 p.m., which was the very start of SpaceX’s four-hour launch window.
