Elon Musk announced that Tesla's fully self-driving cars are expected to expand nationwide later this year, following their initial introduction in Texas.
Despite these projections, current Tesla robotaxi services in Austin, Dallas, and Houston have faced issues, including long wait times and inconvenient drop-off locations, according to Reuters.
Tesla recently recalled over 218,000 vehicles due to delayed rearview camera images, while Alphabet-owned Waymo also recalled approximately 3,800 robotaxis over flood-related safety concerns.
Musk also stated that his company, SpaceX, is nearing the development of reusable rocket launch systems, which he believes will significantly reduce space travel costs and mark a historical turning point.
Furthermore, Musk revealed that Neuralink plans to perform its first Blindsight device implant this year to assist individuals with vision impairment, and he predicted that humanoid robots will be widespread within a decade.
